The Student Association of the Sharia Economics Study Program (HMPS Ekonomi Syariah), Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business (FEBI), IAIN Bone, held the TEMU MABA (New Student Gathering) for the Sharia Economics Study Program on Wednesday, August 20, 2026, at the FEBI IAIN Bone Auditorium, Campus 2.
The event was part of an initiative to welcome and introduce the academic environment to new students of the Sharia Economics Study Program. Through TEMU MABA, new students were introduced to an overview of university life, the Sharia Economics Study Program environment, as well as various academic and student activities they can participate in throughout their studies at FEBI IAIN Bone.
In addition to introducing the academic environment, the event also provided an opportunity for HMPS Ekonomi Syariah to introduce its organization, management team, and various work programs. New students were also given opportunities to establish communication and strengthen relationships with HMPS administrators and fellow students of the Sharia Economics Study Program.
The TEMU MABA program was conducted interactively through various activities, including introductions between administrators and new students, an explanation of the academic process, socialization of HMPS work programs, screenings of the study program profile and work program videos, a mini faculty tour, interactive games, and a question-and-answer session.
The event, which was designed in an educational and welcoming atmosphere, is expected to help new students adapt to the campus environment and understand the academic system they will experience. Furthermore, new students are expected to be motivated to actively participate in various academic and student activities within the Sharia Economics Study Program at FEBI IAIN Bone.
Through TEMU MABA, HMPS Ekonomi Syariah also encourages the development of a communicative, active, and cohesive student environment from the beginning of the academic journey. At the same time, the event serves as an initial step toward building a sense of togetherness between new students and the broader Sharia Economics Study Program community.
