BONE -Chancellor of the State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Bone Prof. Dr. H. Lukman Arake, Lc., M.A. encourage students to develop an entrepreneurial spirit and take advantage of business opportunities creatively.
This message was conveyed when opening the FEBI Fest which was held by the Student Executive Council (DEMA) of the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business (FEBI) IAIN Bone in the courtyard of the Campus I Academic Building, Tuesday (20/10/2026).
In his speech, Prof. Lukman emphasized that entrepreneurial activities need to be a space for students to learn to develop businesses.
According to him, business opportunities can be exploited with creativity and mastery of technology, as long as they adhere to Islamic ethics and values.
He also reminded students not to get caught up in harmful practices, such as online gambling and online loans.
For Prof. Lukman, economic activities are not only related to profit, but can also be part of worship if carried out according to the right principles.
Prof Lukman also appreciated the initiative of FEBI students in organizing this activity.
He hopes that students will not only study entrepreneurship in theory, but also have the courage to practice it.
Dean of FEBI IAIN Bone Dr. H. Ahmad Abdul Mutalib, Lc., M.Ag. also encourages students to take a bigger role in business activities during FEBI Fest.
He hopes that students will not only rely on tenants from outside parties, but will also present products or dishes of their own creativity so that this activity becomes an opportunity to learn entrepreneurship directly.
Carrying the theme "Synergy in Creativity and Innovation to Build a Competitive Economic Future", FEBI Fest runs until Friday (23/10/2026).
This activity presents 12 types of competitions involving participants from students and the general public in Bone Regency.
