IAIN Bone Islamic Economics Students Explore Entrepreneurship and Production Process at PT Nippon Indosari Corpindo Tbk

BONE, 26 JUNE 2026 – The Daily Management Board (BPH) of the IAIN Bone Islamic Economics Study Program (HMPS) Student Association for the 2026/2027 period successfully held a work program from the Department of Entrepreneurship entitledKECINDUS STUDY TOUR (Get to Know Industry Stories). This industrial visit activity was held on Wednesday, June 24 2026, with the main destination being the largest bread producing factory in Indonesia,PT Nippon Indosari Corpindo Tbk (Sari Roti)in Makassar.

This activity was attended by active students from Semester 2-6 of the Sharia Economics Study Program at IAIN Bone and accompanied directly by the Supervisor, Dr. Andi Ika Fahrika, S.E., M.Sc. Before leaving for the visit location, the group of participants was officially released by the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Islamic Business, IAIN Bone, Dr. H. Ahmad Abdul Mutalib, Lc., M.Ag..

Activity Flow: FromSafety Inductionto Direct Observation

The series of visits begins with safety procedures (Safety Induction) by factory security to ensure all participants understand the regulations and things that are prohibited while in the industrial area. After walking along the special pedestrian path, the group was warmly welcomed by Sari Roti management.

In the presentation session, students received a comprehensive explanation regarding:

The highlight of the event was filled withfactory tour, where students see the production area directly to observe the implementation of strict hygiene standards, food safety (food safety), as well as a quality control system (quality control). This activity then ended with an interactive discussion session (question and answer), group photos, and handing over souvenirs as a form of appreciation to the company.

Impressions and Expectations of Accompanying Lecturers

HMPS Islamic Economics Supervisor IAIN Bone, Dr. Andi Ika Fahrika, SE., M.Si., expressed high appreciation for the openness of the industry and the great benefits that students obtained through this activity.

We are very impressed with the work system and modern technology implemented by the company. "The team from Sari Roti is also very open in sharing knowledge with our students," said Dr. Andi Ika Fahrika, SE., M.Si..

Looking at Future Collaboration Opportunities

Through this Kecindus momentum, Dr. Andi Ika Fahrika, SE., M.Sc. have high hopes that this visit will become a bridge for closer collaboration between academics and the industrial sector.

"We really hope that this collaboration can continue in the future, either through student internship programs, research collaborations, or the implementation of the Independent Learning Campus (MBKM) program. Hopefully more and more of our students can study directly here," he concluded.
