Enhancing Students’ Communication Skills, Sharia Economics Student Association of IAIN Bone Holds MC and Moderator Training

The Sharia Economics Student Association (HMPS) of IAIN Bone held an MC and Moderator Training on Saturday–Sunday, September 19–20, 2026. The activity took place at the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business (FEBI) Hall, IAIN Bone Campus 2.

The training was one of the work programs of the Sharia Economics Student Association and aimed to improve students’ abilities to host and manage various activities, both in academic and organizational settings.

Through this training, participants received guidance on techniques for becoming effective Master of Ceremonies (MCs) and moderators. The materials covered public speaking skills, mastery of event sequences, effective language use, and techniques for facilitating discussions.

In addition to theoretical sessions, participants were also given opportunities to develop their skills through practical sessions in hosting events and facilitating discussions. These activities provided students with a platform to sharpen their communication skills and build confidence in carrying out their roles as MCs and moderators.

The training was successfully conducted and received enthusiastic participation from the attendees. Participants gained basic knowledge and skills that can be applied in various academic, student, and organizational activities.

Through this activity, the Sharia Economics Student Association of IAIN Bone hopes that students will continue to develop their communication skills, build confidence, and become better prepared to serve as MCs and moderators in various activities within the university environment.
